Sahdia
Sahdia began belly dancing in 2004 and immediate fell in love with the dance. After much practice and performing at local haflas, she was invited to join SARAAB in 2006. Sahdia began teaching in 2008 and currently teaches classes at Gull Point Community Center. She is inspired by many dancers, including Sahira, Saqra, Jillina, Suhaila, and Petite Jamilla. She currently co-directs the troupe with Mica.

Mica
Mica started belly dance in 2002. She was a natural and was asked to join SARAAB in 2004. She has studied with wonderful performers such as Aziza, Petite Jamilla, Sonja, and Ansuya. Mica is a great performer and soloist. As our senior member, she brings a great direction to the troupe.

Lydia
Lydia began belly dance as a way to do something fun, challenging, and girly. She started in 2005 and joined SARAAB in 2008. She has continued to meet the challenge of the dance and go beyond. Lydia loves being part of a troupe and bringing dance to our community.

Badi'a
Badi'a started dancing in 2004. She has studied many styles of belly dance, including cabaret, folkloric, and tribal fusion. She is inspired by many dancers including Rachel Brice and our own local tribal fusion dancer, Danielle. Badi'a joined SARAAB in 2008 and has been a wonderful addition to the troupe.

Aditi
Aditi began her love of dance before she was two years old. She had studied many different styles of dance including ballet, tap, and jazz before discovering her passion for Middle Eastern belly dance in 2007. Aditi continues to explore new forms of dance as a member of the African dance troupe, Hurrey-Up's Bafouable. Aditi joined the SARAAB troupe in 2010 and can't wait to get started on one of her many specialties, choreography!
